Viewing life curiously.

Won’t You Be My Neighbor?

I’ve seen and participated in so many conversations this week about the pain and negativity surrounding guns in our nation. I wish there was a simple fix, but there really isn’t. It’s true that anything worth having doesn’t come easily and it often requires work. We have a lot of work to do. I truly believe we can and will get it done, and it’s going to take us sharing real conversations about it. Actually listening to understand, not just to respond. We have got to get this right, not just for the future, but for the now.

As a kid, I watched a lot of PBS, partly because it was one of the three channels we could get, and mostly because it had programming that my mother felt was right for my brother and me to watch. ‘Sesame Street’, ‘The Electric Company’, and ‘Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood’ was magical. With that being said, I think this clip featuring Fred Rogers, speaks boldly about the times we’re living in now and offer a possible resolution to many of our problems. I hope you’ll spend a few minutes watching it.
